CONFERENCE INFORMATION:
The MN American Indian Mental Health Advisory Council and the MN Department of Human Services are sponsoring their annual conference, hosted by the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis, on June 15-17, 2010, at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.
The conference is designed to strengthen mental health services for American Indian adults, children, and families by improving awareness, understanding and skills from a culturally appropriate perspective. This year's focus will be on understanding, preventing, and healing from trauma of many types (e.g., historical, collective, social, micro-aggressions, and personal traumas).

Ms. Nayea is confirmed to perform an acoustic concert at our feast on June 16, 2010. She will also give a presentation, "The Healing Power of Music" during the conference on Wednesday morning.
